Before working with Jessica, I was severely depressed about my weight and I was feeling very insecure and sad most of the time. Feeling very alone and at the bottom of my rope, I booked a session with her. I needed help to put my frustration about my weight in the right place. I was looking for coping skills and ways to help me lose the weight.

I gained many benefits from working with Jessica. I learned coping skills, gained new ideas for snacks and meals and I also learned to give myself a break and not constantly focus on my weight. I would recommend the sessions to others who have a less than ideal relationship with food and those who would like to clean up their eating.

I was ready to start some new behaviors regarding diet and new regimens in my self-care. Of course, I wanted to lose some weight, but I knew there were emotional imbalances holding me back, that kept me from exercising and taking better care of myself.

For 15 years, I've been sludging through the 'challenge' of eating well. There have been far too many diets, disappointments, struggles, and doubts. Finally reaching a plateau of less stress in my life, a friend suggested Jessica as an eating coach.  I thought, hey I'll try it, maybe.  Before I knew it I was looking at Jessica's website and thinking, hey I WILL try it. 

I was in a good place in my life when I started working with Jessica. But there were many old mental and physical habits to contend with like eating unconsciously, eating lots of sugar, and plenty of overeating. Jessica helped teach me to be more aware with the food, breath and pause before and while eating. A practice I do every day is taking 3 deep breaths before I eat. Often I pray and sometimes I just look at the trees and flowers but I always take a moment to get my body ready and full of gratitude before I eat. This is an invaluable lesson I gained from my time with Jessica. I also remember to eat slowly and not to eat in the car.  Not always easy, but important.

In these ways, the class changed my life.  Jessica is a fun, positive person and she brings this vibrant energy to the class.
